Henderson Concert Band
was once a military band many years ago.
The band was renamed to Henderson Concert Band in 1995.
Throughout the years, Henderson Concert Band had grown alot.
In 1998, Mr Badrul Hisham took over the band as our Band Director
and Mr Faizal Bin Othman became our Assistant Band Director.
Till today, the band has a strength of 52 members.

Hey fellow Bandmembers!

Please note that Band practices will resume again next week~ -yay-

Remember to also bring your instruments along for the practice this coming Monday (20th July 2009). Do be there early [i know the enthusiasm is overwhelming (I hope)], unless you have lessons in the afternoon.

Also, any practices on Thursdays will henceforth require only the Sec1s to come, section leaders please inform your respective sections about these updates. If you do not have the Sec1s numbers, rest assured as Michelle will be notifying them for now.

Alright, that is all, Do take good care of yourself and keep healthy if not you will fall sick (Obviously) and please listen to announcements and check the blog (this one) regularly as the majors will update it in the event of any changes.

Dear members,

As announced by Mr Lim this morning, there would not be any band practices until further notice.
I hope everybody will practise hard at home, but also not forgetting to do your homeworks over the long weekend! Remember to bring your thermometers to school on tuesday and take care of yourselves. (:

SLs please tell your section about the band tee, esplanade performance ticket and about the botanic garden performance. Your section members MUST KNOW. If the section members don't know, SLs will be held responsible. (Don't worry if you dont have the sec 1s number, Michelle will be contacting the sec 1s.)

Shell-MOE Band Fiesta 2009
Date: 19th and 26th July 2009 ( Sundays )
Time: 5pm to 7pm
Venue: Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, Singapore Botanic Gardens
Admission: Free
Organised by: Shell Companies in Singapore and the Ministry of Education
Pieces that they are going to play: Selections from Mamma Mia, Saturday Night Fever and Disney classics like The Lion King.
