Henderson Concert Band
was once a military band many years ago.
The band was renamed to Henderson Concert Band in 1995.
Throughout the years, Henderson Concert Band had grown alot.
In 1998, Mr Badrul Hisham took over the band as our Band Director
and Mr Faizal Bin Othman became our Assistant Band Director.
Till today, the band has a strength of 52 members.

Hello bandmates!
please take note of the following details.
section leaders, please inform your section about it or you can ask them to visit this blog or the notice board.

1) Opening of band room for borrowing of instruments.
the majors will be opening the band room on friday, 3rd july.
it is only for borrowing of instruments home and taking of files home.
NOT PRACTICE/ SECTIONALS.
for those bigger instruments, i hope you all at least bring home your files.
because CCA may not resume yet.
time : 1pm -2pm.

2) Band T-Shirt.
once again, we repeat.
the design of the band tee, IS THE SAME.
& for your infomation, it costs $10 per shirt.

3) Esplanade Performance Tickets.
the teachers-in-charge will be selling the tickets for the end of year concert in Esplanade.
each ticket costs $10, and each band member is entitled to buy only 2 tickets.


we are telling you these information on the band t-shirt and the tickets is because we couldnt have any gatherings, thus it's difficult to pass the message out to you all.
also, we're telling you in advance so you guys can start saving money now (:
members, please spread these information around okay!

we majors also do hope that most of you can bring home your instruments to practice, or even JUST YOUR FILE to familarize yourself with the pieces that we're going to play.

Dear members,

please be reminded to bring your travel declaration form which you have to print out from the school website. This should be told by you form teachers, but if you don't know or forget, please do print out and get your parents to sign it. Then hand it up on 29 June, 1st day of school, except for those who went overseas from 22nd June onwards.

Do take good care of yourself and don't get into much trouble. :)

okay okay i repeat.
there are members who are still confused.

what i meant is..
instead of band practice on friday morning.
it will be lessons that you all usually have on monday.

and some of you ask which week.
again i repeat,
it's the first week of school reopen.
which is 29 june - 3 july that week.

i dont wish to see anyone telling me that they dont know about this.

Due to H1N1..
Please take note that there will be NO BAND PRACTICE for the ENTIRE of FIRST WEEK.
which means:

29 June ( Monday ) - NO BAND PRACTICE.
2 July ( Thursday ) - NO BAND PRACTICE.
3 July ( Friday ) - NO BAND PRACTICE.

as we all know that FRIDAY'S practice is during CCA time slot.
but on the FIRST WEEK's FRIDAY,
the CCA time slot is changed to MONDAY's timetable till 12.30pm.

about the second week's practice,
you all will be informed again depending on the situation.

therefore for those who brought home your instruments,
PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS TO SCHOOL
ON THE FIRST WEEK.
